Join us on Fridays for Out Country at the Reverie Ballroom on Capitol Hill

**Cowboy boots are NOT ALLOWED in the Grand Ballroom. Only rubber or other soft soled shoes are allowed. Cowboy boots ARE ALLOWED in the Emerald Ballroom. See the schedule below for dance shoe requirements and bring a back up in case of a mix up!

Lessons: 7:15–8:00 pm, included in your cover for the evening

  • Cover: $20 sliding scale
  • 1st Friday: Two-Step lessons, including both beginner details and a few more complex moves.
    Location: Grand Ballroom NO COWBOY BOOTS
  • 2nd Friday: Beginner line dance lesson (~15 min), followed by a higher level line dance lesson (~30 min)
    Location: Emerald Ballroom COWBOY BOOTS OK 
  • 3rd Friday: While not an RCDA event, join us at OutDancing, where Rain Country members receive a $5 discount  (Reverie Ballroom’s monthly LGBTQ partner dancing event)

  • 4th Friday: Lessons alternate between Waltz and either Night Club or Shadow

  • 5th Friday: About 4 times a year, we get a bonus night and feature lessons in things like West Cast Swing, Shuffle, and Polka (with more to come!)

Join us for line dancing every Tuesday and also 2 Thursdays per month at All Pilgrims Church on Capitol Hill. Cowboy boots are allowed in this space. It is not heated or air conditioned, so plan accordingly. 

  • Lessons: 7:15–7:30 and 7:45–8:15 (roughly) ; high-level Tuesdays, 7:30–8:00
  • Cover: recommended donation of $4–10
  • Intermediate/Advanced Tuesdays: Twice per month, we'll focus on intermediate and higher level dances and lessons. 
  • Thursdays: Twice per month we'll focus on beginner and intermediate dances and lessons. 
  • Mixed Level Tuesdays: Two lessons (beginner and improver/intermediate) and mixed level line dances. The first half hour of the night is mostly beginner and intermediate dances
  • Three new dances are taught each month: beginner, improver, and intermediate
Typically, the advanced Tuesdays and intermediate Thursdays will fall in the same week. Check RCDA social media or the member newsletter for the current schedule.

We also hold quarterly members-only dances — to learn more, become a member and keep an eye on your emails!  Become a member before the dance or join at the door to attend.
